Impact of Social Media on Teen Mental Health and Safety to be Focus of KIN Circle

3/6/2024

Effectively addressing the harmful impact of social media on teens to ensure their well-being and safety online is the goal of KIN’s new Impact Circle.

Recent Senate Judiciary Committee hearings and advisories from the U.S. Surgeon General highlight the alarming impact of social media on teens, including increased mental health problems, depression, anxiety, bullying, and sexual exploitation of minors. Despite growing awareness and calls for action, social media platforms have yet to implement effective measures to protect minors from these dangers.

The Impact of Social Media on Teen Mental Health and Safety Circle is one of KIN’s new intimate groups addressing specific causes to alleviate hardship and uplift humanity. These Circles have been referred to as “forums with a cause”.
