Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE)

Workforce Readiness
NFTE is a global nonprofit that provides high-quality entrepreneurship education primarily to middle, high school, and college students from under-resourced communities. NFTE reaches 50,000+ students annually in 30 states across the U.S. and offers programs in 26 additional countries.

The Need

As part of their efforts to scale their programs outside of the U.S., NFTE seeks to establish an effective tiered-membership structure to capitalize on the range of interested partners and supporters. In doing so, they need to take into consideration limited team capacity to vet and cultivate prospects.

Project Impact

Over the next 5 years, NFTE expects to impact more than half a million lives. Joining them in this journey, KIN launched its partnership with NFTE Global Programs by hosting a 90 minute Catalyze Session where KIN convened seven Knowledge Partners from around the globe with NFTE leadership. During the session, this hand-selected group of social impact leaders with international growth strategy, partnership and education expertise reviewed NFTE’s historic funding structure and strategized how they can best leverage and prioritize the myriad of potential partners to pursue within global markets. At the close of the 90 minutes together, Knowledge Partners pledged to continue assisting NFTE in creating a pipeline of potential partnerships to explore as well as developing a system for reviewing and determining which partnerships to cultivate. Several Knowledge Partners also committed to serve as members of a pilot Advisory Board to review partner criteria throughout the year. Further, various Knowledge Partners agreed to create a Sales Funnel Development Group to continue brainstorming potential partners and how to restructure pricing options.
