Nearly one third of young people in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) are jobless. Education for Employment (EFE) is striving to reduce the unemployment gap and transform the future. The organization assists in building youth’s futures through training that is geared toward market demands through a network of nine locally managed affiliates.  Since 2006, EFE has trained more than 150,000 youth and helped them find employment, and 58% of their graduates are women.

In light of launching EFE’s first-ever capital campaign, Andrew Baird, CEO of EFE, Angela Tse, US Development Manager, and Jasmine Nahhas di Florio, Senior Advisor, reached out to KIN to host a 90-minute Catalyze session with Knowledge Partners, David Griffith, Jim Clark, Ralph Sheridan and Steve Shray, all of whom have expertise in fundraising and capital campaigns. Knowledge Partners and EFE collaborated on how to customize messaging of the capital campaign for different donors to maximum emotional impact. Additional discussions included: identifying EFE's value proposition and how it links to potential donors and suggestions for partners and corporations that share similar values. Each Knowledge Partner made a pledge to help EFE in raising a successful first capital campaign, including introductions to further donors. With KINs guidance, EFE strives to support 500,000 youth by 2025.

Angela Tse comments, “Our Knowledge Partners were extremely impressive and generous with their time. They provided great insight on capital campaigns and fundraising both holistically and in MENA, where we operate, and raised important questions on the big picture language and vision of our capital campaign. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to speak strategically about EFE's value proposition and brainstorm how we can appeal our capital campaign to new prospective donors.”
